Kendal
play Worksop for a 2nd time in a row this weekend and will be looking
for the same 2-0 win they managed to achieve against this weekend’s
opponents. Town were comfortable at Worksop and will be full of
confidence going into Saturday’s encounter. They have also had a
full week off as Tuesday’s home match with Whitby was postponed
so the extra rest should also work in the team’s favour. A win for
Kendal could potentially see them go second in the division, so
theirs every incentive to do well! Team news: Kendal will be without
Lee Ashcroft as he serve’s his last of a 3 match ban. Whilst Ian
Kilford is still absent, Michael Cole is likely to start just like
he did last weekend. This weekend’s opponents Worksop Town come
to The Lakeland Radio Stadium hurting after suffering a heavy 5-0
defeat away at North Ferriby on Tuesday night and with a few point’s
to prove they will be up for this match. They are currently struggling
in the bottom 3 on a bad run of form which has seen them only pick
up 1 point from their last 4 league game’s a record which they will
be looking to put right. Player’s to watch out for: Kevin Sanasy
who missed the 5-0 midweek defeat by North Ferriby will be the main
threat for Town. Although ineffective against us last weekend anybody
with a goal scoring record is always one you have to be wary of.
Kirk Jackson: Showed some menace against us last time out, if given
any time or space he will punish us. Play’s up top and has a respectable
goal scoring record. Stephen Hernandez: Despite Letting 5 in on
Tuesday night, he did make some fine save’s to deny Kendal. Overall:
On paper Kendal should be alright, and with Worksop on a losing
run, Town will be looking to capitalise on Saturday. However the
team won’t under estimate Worksop as the Unibond Premier Division
is so unpredictable..
